"Filament Free Kerala" is one of the projects envisaged in Urja Kerala Mission announced by Govt. of Kerala. "Filament Free Kerala" project is for replacing the entire Incandescent Lamps & CFLs of domestic consumers in the state by energy efficient LED bulbs. The project is implemented by the Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd. and Energy Management Centre, Kerala.

How to Register
You can choose any one of the following
1.Through KSEB Portal-Username and password is needed.
2.Through Section Offices(Direct/Phone) -Consumer Number is needed.
3.Via Meter Readers's SBM-On billing time.

You can book 1-20 LED bulbs in one consumer number.Also can replce CFL(upto 100 No.s) and filament Bulb(upto 100 No.s).You can update your registration till last date.

KSEB will now provide LED bulbs to illuminate
homes. Distribution of LED bulbs to home users will start in November as
part of the 'Filament Free Kerala' project.
In the first
phase, KSEB employees will deliver bulbs to 13 lakh registered
households. Procedures for distribution of one crore bulbs have been
completed. The user has to repay the price within ten months. Those who
can can pay the full amount in a lump sum. Switching to LEDs will reduce
power consumption. Naturally, the electricity bill will be lower than
in the past.
With
this amount of savings, the user can find the refund of the LED bulb.
It is of nine watts. Those in need can still register. They will be
provided with bulbs in the second phase. KSEB aims to distribute a total
of 3 crore bulbs.
Now, the selling price is fixed at ₹65/bulb. This includes the disposal charges of collecting old ones.
Consumers need not collect it, KSEB Officials will distribut the new bulbs and collect the old ones for safe disposal.
The consumer will get notified before the distribution about date and time of their visit. Also, consumer has to sign on a concent on prescribed format regarding the payment, at this time.
This phase may be completed in Janunary -March of 2021.
The price of bulbs can be paid once or in maximum of six installments.The consumer has a right to deny the bulb registered before if not needed now.Also consumer will get 25% extra than the registered upon request.
The second phase registration started. There is no option to revise the count for those who registered earlier.Others can register for the next phase of distribution.
